Commander Scott Kelly took this photo from the International Space Station. He famously tweeted that The Bahamas is the most beautiful place on Earth as seen from space.
“Shut mout catch no fly” means mind your own business.
“Ya head ain no good” means that you are foolish.
“Muddasic you biggety hey” means that you think a lot of yourself.
“Dat chile ain got no broughtupcy” means that child is rude.
Pig Island, formerly known as Big Major Cay, is home to no people and a herd of swimming pigs. Farmers in Staniel Cay had to move their smelly swine because of complaints by folks in the settlement. So, these creative fellows loaded the pigs onto boats and sailed them over to the nearby uninhabited island. Every day, at the same time, the farmers sailed over to the pigs with food and water. Some of the pigs began swimming out to the boats, probably hoping to get fed first. Word spread throughout The Bahamas, and eventually the world, about the amazing swimming pigs. Tourism entrepreneurs jumped in and there are now organized tours on powerboats from multiple destinations in The Bahamas, and even from Florida, to bring tourists to swim with the pigs and then return back, all in one day.
