Santa’s secret island is in the middle of the Exuma Cays, a chain of small islands running north to south in the middle of The Bahamas. One illustration in “Santa’s Secret Island” has a signpost showing that Nassau, the capital city of The Bahamas, is 131 miles away, the North Pole is 4,488 miles away, and New York City is 1,185 miles away. Those numbers are based on the distance from the Georgetown Airport on Great Exuma Island.
